Legal Aid Clinic

Visit the Ventura County Legal Aid free Legal Clinic. The walk-in clinic is located at the Ventura County Law Library from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.You may be eligible for free legal services through VCLA if you have a case or legal problem in Ventura County that is within our program priorities and your income falls within our guidelines


An expungement is the court ordering that a conviction be set aside, a plea of not guilty entered, and the Complaint be dismissed.

The Legal Clinic can provide assistance with the forms that need to be completed and filed.

Pro Bono Program

As part of our commitment to bring justice to Ventura County’s most vulnerable residents, VCLA is committed to connecting attorneys with those in need.


Legal Clinic attorneys can provide assistance with family-based immigration DACA, cases involving victims of domestic violence and other serious crimes, and unaccompanied minors issues. Attorneys can also provide deportation advice.

Landlord Tenant

The legal clinic assists both sides on landlord-tenant issues such as evictions, rent disputes, and/or property conditions. And other matters relating to the leasing and renting of property.


The legal clinic helps with outlining what factors are important to appoint someone as a guardian to serve the best interest of the child.


Conservatorship is the legal concept
in which judge appoints a conservator to manage the financial and/or physical affairs of an adult due to physical, mental limitations, or advanced​ age. The legal clinic can assist with completing the forms that need to be filled.

Wills and Trusts

Wills and Trusts are devices that are prepared
during one’s lifetime to dispose of their assets during and after death. The legal clinic provides advice on how to contest one, and how to draft one and the rights family members have for the assets of one who died without any of these devices.


Civil law relates to matters between two individuals regarding a private matter between the parties. The legal clinic assists​ on outlining the rights and duties of individuals in relation to one another.


Collections represent the recovery of assets, property, fees, monies, and compensations. The Legal Clinic can provide assistance with defending against debt claims or collecting a debt.

General Law

In addition to specific legal areas, Legal Clinic attorneys can provide assistance with general legal questions.

Family Law

Family cases generally involve issues between or concerning spouses, parents, and children.

Legal Clinic attorneys can provide assistance with adoptions, uncontested and contested dissolutions, child custody and visitation, child support and spousal support, and paternity.
